1. Burpees

You know burpees as one of the staples of CrossFit. So if you’re doing CrossFit workouts at home, you have to incorporate some burpees. They’re an excellent way to engage your core and to get your heart pumping.

Looking for a variation to the standard burpee? Consider adding a squat or a broad jump at the top of each burpee for some extra burn.

2. Pullups

There’s nothing ordinary about the standard pull up. Although you may not have a typical pull up bar at home, you may have a good substitute.

If not, a local park nearby likely has one. An added bonus to this is that you can incorporate a run to the park and back home into your workout.

Want to ramp up the difficulty to your pull ups? How does a jumping pull up sound?

3. Squats

Employing squats into your CrossFit workouts at home is a fantastic way to work your legs and glutes without having to use any equipment or a large space. The main problem with squats is that they can get very sloppy with improper form. Watch this video to make sure that you’re maximizing your squats.

4. Box jump

The box jump is an excellent way to gain explosive power in the legs and hips. Best of all, you’ll have what you need for this exercise around your home. Make sure whatever you use for the box jump will be able to sustain your weight as well as the force of your jump onto it.

5. Kettlebell deadlift

Invest in a couple of kettlebells, and you’ll always have a variety of options for workouts at home. The kettlebell deadlift shown in the video gives an interesting variation that requires a combination of strength and balance. However you use your kettlebells, your arms will thank you as they tone up and increase in strength.

6. Walking lunge

Lunges are sneaky difficult. They seem simple because of how graceful they look. However, a walking lunge will challenge your entire body as you attempt to keep your form and balance over an entire set. They make the perfect CrossFit workout at home.

7. Pushups

Last, but never the least, is the classic pushup. Many WOD’s incorporate a form of a pushup into your workout. If you’re looking to do CrossFit workouts at home, make sure you add some pushups to the routine. Want to get wild? How about trying some handstand pushups?
