EIE Challenge Tip of the Day 36: Congratulate yourself! You’re almost to the proverbial finish line (hopefully this is just the beginning). I know a lot of you have made tremendous life changes and are still so critical of yourselves!
Just take a moment and be proud of what you’ve accomplished.
Wherever you are on your journey, just pat yourself on the back this one time. You’ve earned it. Onward and upward!

This marks the last week of the 2013 CrossFit Open! For me, the Open was a reminder that comparing myself now to a version of myself a year ago is just silly. I celebrated the small victories completing more work than I was expecting to do and some workouts I knew better than to attempt at all! The challenges of working through an injury can be frustrating and slow going, and even though I am not where I was a year ago, the Open was just as fun.
Wherever you are on the worldwide leader board, you should all be proud for throwing your hat into the ring and participating in something that makes our community so unique. The ability to compete with others in the gym, state, nation, and the world while cheering on your friends is something special. See you all in San Diego….!!
