Remember what it felt like to show up to your first class? I was nervous as hell. I distinctly remember my first few weeks into crossfit and how I would over exert myself so much during the warm ups I barely survived the workouts. Not sure why I felt compelled to go all out during the first 15 minutes of class, but I’m sure most of it was nervous energy coupled with performance anxiety coupled with fear of making a fool of myself.
We have a lot of new “graduates” entering regular class these days.
One of the beautiful things about our community is how welcoming we are when someone new joins the family. Now it’s your turn to show them the ropes, be the voice of encouragement, and remind them that while it doesn’t get easier, they will get better.
Welcome to the party!
