The Traditionalist

Five rounds for reps of:

1 min Wall ball shots, 20 pound

1 min 15 foot rope climb

Run 400m


Start each round exactly six minutes apart. Your rest period is whatever remains after the run.

I was anticipating my lunch a few days ago at The Counter: a bed of mixed greens with shredded carrots, bermuda onions, roasted red peppers, pepporincinis, avocado, topped with a 2/3lb burger and a few slices of bacon with dijon balsamic vinaigrette.  A nice middle aged dude sits down next to me and the bartender begins to explain how to order.

  (Its a build your own burger joint)  The bartender gets into the ‘bun/ no bun’ portion of his speech when the customer scoffs, “I’m a traditionalist!

” I was immediately saddened by the fact that this man may never get to experience the deliciousness of a burger salad because of his traditional views on food.  I can only hope that someday he tries a burger salad, because it is damn delicious, or dare I say, better than a traditional burger?
