Most of you are in the middle of learning about what you eat and how it affects you.  Remember to not think so much about calories, saturated fats, etc., but more about how you feel, look and perform.

Its that simple.  The first step is to start making your own food!

I was discussing the importance of cooking your own food last night with some friends.  It is absolutely essential to know how to cook and just like anything else, it may take a little time to get good at it, but the benefits will last a lifetime!  I chose two Paleo recipes that are a little different, rather basic, and both have bacon….

delicious bacon.  Get in that kitchen and give it a try, I’ll be asking you all how it went!

A couple pointers:
  • Saute means to heat something over medium to high heat in fat or oil.  Generally, it should be sizzling, but not smoking or burning.
  • If you don’t have the required tools, go to Ross or get on Craigslist and buy some cookware!
  • Don’t panic, just read the directions and prepare all the ingredients in advance.
