Press Rewind

I get asked regularly how I found this crazy CrossFit shit.

I have to admit that I’m a movie nerd that likes to hunt down the newest movie trailers released online. Who knew that little habit would change the trajectory of my life forever? The implications of that moment reaches through every aspect of my being. The trailer I speak of is the the constant pain in my gut, or the dreams I had of conquering the physical world around me, but I am grateful for that moment and path it led me to follow.

Go over to that little button on the left that says “Nutrition” and click on it. The first thing you will see is the theoretical hierarchy of athletic development. And that is exactly what you are. We consider every person in our gym an athlete. The foundation of every athlete is nutrition and it is the key to your continued success and development.

Opinions are strong and too sensitive to broach for many people, but I want everyone out there to know that the nutrition information that is on the left here changed my life. Watch Dr. Barry Sears explain these concepts in detail in this 5 part video series: Parts 1-3, Part 4 (fish oil), Part 5.   And for fun, lets watch Robb Wolf talk about what type of protein we should be eating.

Note the angle of the forearm here.  We want to create as much upward force as possible by keeping the forearm perpendicular to the ground.  She still made this lift…never underestimate aggression, but imagine the possibilities!
