The hits just keep on coming! Big congrats to all the participants from the Frogman CrossFit Challenge yesterday! One of the CrossFit mottos is “train for the unknown and the unknowable.
” Entering any competition is nerve wracking, especially when you don’t know what you are training for exactly!
We put our training to the test by adding swimming into the equation, and while a few do have swimming in their background, the combination of CrossFit and swimming was a relatively unknown for all.
And we survived!! What an exhilirating experience to be able to know that what we do in the gym will help you for literally almost anything you encounter! In our day to day lives, we don’t often test our physcial and mental abilities. I enourage everybody to seek out challenges and test themselves on a regular basis. We all know the, “Do something that scares you everyday,” words of wisdom, right? I am not just talking about entering CrossFit competitions (although that is a great idea), but trying new sports, entering a triathalon even though you have little to no training for it, going on an extreme excursion into the wilderness, doing a mud run or maybe something as simple as doing a heavy back squat. I don’t care, just do it! The point is that, these plans we make, competitions we register for and challenges we accept give our lives meaning and purpose. If you don’t know where to find these challenges, we’ll be sure to keep letting you know about them!
