On Halloween, my younger sister was diagnosed with Leukemia. She has since been essentially trapped in her hospital room for the past 4 weeks. However, as of two days ago, Kelly was discharged from the hospital and can now eat fruits and vegetables! She is so excited to be home, hair or no hair, being confined to a hospital bed for 28 days was torture for her but she made it. So now its onto the next stage: Tuesday she flies to Boston for additional bone marrow and blood tests, and we will determine whether I can be her bone marrow donor (fingers crossed!!) Then after about 4 weeks, she has to return to Boston to undergo an additional month of Chemo and then will remain in Boston for a minimum of 3 additional months to undergo constant monitoring and treatment. For a girl who has lived in Florida her whole life, it will be a challenge, but she is kickin’ cancers ass and taking names! Thanks to the support of everyone at Paradiso, we are extremely confident that she will get through this, one battle at a time.

From the bottom of my heart, I thank all of you for your kind words and generosity, I will never forget.

Steve 🙂
