This sanctioned USAW meet will be held at the Army and Navy Academy in Carlsbad, Ca. I went to a meet here over the winter and it was a great event.

All levels competed and it was very well organized with adequate warm up space. Derrick Johnson and I are planning on lifting in this event and this will be Derrick’s first meet leading up to National Championships and his run at the American records in his weight class. I urge anyone interested to become a USAW member and let me know if you are interested in attending this meet. I will contact the meet director and let them know our plan of bringing multiple athletes and representing Venice Barbell Club.

And yes, this is the same date as our EIE Post Party but I am plan on making it back for the festivities as soon as the meet is over.
