We’ve all been there before…so close yet so far!!  I have often spoken about video taping yourself for educational purposes, but I  neglected to point out the obvious reason of having a record of what you have been doing over the months and years!  I have so many videos of myself trying movements, with both great successes and epic failures, and I treasure them all equally.  I love watching and analyzing my movement (and then making Martina watch it of course:).  With the video technology on our phones these days, we should all be getting great video of ourselves all the time.  Then I want you to send it to me so we can make a sweet compilation video just like this one!

A quick word on safety:  You’ll notice that more than one of the misses in the video were not very pretty.  While we always want you to put safety first, we learn on the edge of our experience levels.  I like the saying that, “A perfectly safe program is also perfectly ineffective.”  As we gain experience and strength in these movements, we will have to take risks.  This is not the same as being reckless.  Simply that we must be willing to try things where success is uncertain.  We must be willing to fail.  I believe this is where we grow as athletes and individuals.  Keep training hard and send me the videos of your results, good or bad!  Enjoy my little compilation below…
