Lindz loves to wake up with heavy weight

Congratulations to Lindsay Q for winning our 5th week of the Newtrition Challenge!

Only 3 weeks to go before we retest your workouts!  Have you been practicing your handstands?

Have you given in to the pressures of the holiday season?

The holidays should be a time to celebrate life, family and friends, not a time to forget about your health.

This can be particularly hard around family, but everything has its place.  My family has not always been on board with what I do, but over time, through their own health issues, desire to stay active and research they have learned to accept and adopt a healthier lifestyle.  We are a big Italian family and our traditional Thanksgiving dinner was a long multiple course meal as follows:

Fruit Salad
Antipasto
Baked Stuffed Clams
Cream of Broccoli soup
Ravioli
Traditonal Turkey with stuffing and Cranberry sauce
Roasted Sweet Potatoes
Mashed Potatoes
Corn

We have scaled down the number of courses, but you can see how we have tried to adapt.  The following is our plan for Thanksgiving this year:

Antipasto
Butternut Squash Soup
Turkey with sausage stuffing
Duck Breast
Mashed Parsnips and Turnips
Roasted Sweet Potatoes
Braised Greens
Corn

Cheers to the evolution of your traditions and your continual quest for health!
